In the year 2020, I collaborated on the training Your Ebook in 24hours with Emeka Nobis
As the training was ongoing, Favour Elendu asked; What about if I converted the contents of this class to an Ebook?
We gave the okay & Favour did the proof reading & internal layout. Folks named Favour are the best ever.
A book cover design was created & we placed the book on Paystack for automated payment & delivery of the book after purchase.
I am sharing this story with you, to let you know that you can do same.
You can become an Author (especially if you lead a busy life) by using two of the strategies we employed.
These strategies are:
TRAININGS TO BOOK
Convert your previous training to a book.
Alternatively, you can offer a new training…this could be a webinar, Masterclass, WhatsApp Class etc; then structure it into a proper book afterwards.
So basically, same content, different formats but double the income. Easy right?
CO-AUTHORSHIP
This is collaborating with another author to write & publish a book.
Perhaps you are wary of sharing income with someone else; in that case then you need to fix your scarcity mindset. My question is, would you rather have % of 100 or 50% of 100? The main advantage of this is the shared responsibility & accountability.
Before doing this though, ensure your co-Author has shared values & that the terms/conditions for the partnership are clearly stated & understood.
Two other strategies to become an Author in 30days are:
TRANSCRIPTION
This is the process of turning an audio or video file to text form. A book can be created from your existing audio/video file.
This can also be created from scratch; decide on your book idea & create an outline. Then on a private or public Facebook group, Speak/teach on each item on your book outline within a period of 7–14days, save video afterwards. Transcribe, expand & there you have a book
GHOST WRITING
This is a perfectly legal strategy to becoming an Author; it is an exchange of value.
It involves getting someone who understands your creative focus to write a book for you, then you pay them for this service.
The book & all earnings from it becomes yours.
